If you’re looking for some updates from the first few days of training camp, Andy’s been keeping some notes that you can check out over at his blog. The team makes the first round of cuts tonight, and from there will split into four team to compete in the Neely Cup. Tomorrow on winterhawks.com we’ll have the four rosters and a schedule. Don’t forget, the Neely Cup games are free and will run daily at 3 and 4:45 p.m. at the Coliseum.

The Neely Cup will be a great opportunity for fans to see the young players, as will the exhibition game on Saturday against Seattle, which will heavily feature both teams’ 15 and 16 year-olds. This week over at the main site we’re featuring some of the players you will likely see that night. Yesterday it was defenseman Josh Hanson and today we take a look at top overall draft pick Derrick Pouliot.

In addition, we’ve been unveiling the names of the Neely Cup teams daily, and the latest honoree is Brent Peterson. The other two teams we’ve revealed have been named in honor of Jeff Bandura and Tony Currie, and the final team name will be released tomorrow.

I have been trying to open the articles on the home page, but all I get is a blank page when I click the headings or “read more.”

We’ve been having some issues where the text is appearing white, which is a problem with a white background. We are trying to solve it.
