With the home opener this weekend, the local media are starting tor amp up their Hawks coverage. Here’s a look and where you can read/see/hear the Hawks these days:

Oregonian: The paper has already posted online a story set for tomorrow’s paper about the in-game experience fans can look forward to this season. You can check it out here.

Portland Tribune: The Tribune takes a look at the increased expectations on the team this season right here.

The Columbian: The daily in Vancouver will have an article in tomorrow’s paper for which they did lengthy interviews with Mike Johnston, Brett Ponich and Stefan Schneider.

1080 The Fan: Mike Johnston taped an interview earlier today with Jason Swygard and Big Suke, so expect to hear that on the show sometime this week.

94.7 FM: Ian Curtis is in studio today at 5 p.m. for the Perfect Playlist, where he picks five of his favorite songs.

KATU: The tv station was at practice today to talk to Mike Johnston and a few of the players about the home opener this weekend and the team’s early season improvements. Look for that tonight. They also taped enough footage to use for future broadcasts.

KPTV: Matt Smith was in today to do a story on imports Nino Niederreiter and Jacob Berglund, and their transition to America. Look for that next Sunday (Oct. 4) on their Oregon Sports Final show.

As we do more media appearances, we’ll make sure to keep you up to date as much as possible.
