Newly-acquired defenseman Eric Doyle is slated to make his debut tonight when the Winterhawks take on the Thunderbirds at the ShoWare Center. Doyle flew into Seattle this morning from his hometown of Calgary, and will meet the team at the arena. Doyle will wear #3. There will be at least one familiar face for him with his new team, as Doyle and goaltender Ian Curtis were teammates in Swift Current during the 2007-08 season.

Also, Brett Ponich returned to Portland yesterday after playing for Team WHL against Russian in the Subway Super Series Wednesday in Victoria, BC, and will suit up tonight in Seattle.

Lastly, Luke Walker will not dress tonight, as he has been suspended for tonight’s game following the five-minute elbowing major and game misconduct he received Wednesday in Tri-Cities.
